CASER SUBMITS PROTEST LETTER TO NHRC ON BEHALF OF VICTIMS OF IMMIGRATION APTITUDE TESTS

This is an AIT News Hour Report on the submission of CASER protest letter to the National Human Rights Commission, Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday 17th March, 2014. The protest visit was made on behalf of the victims of avoidable tragedy at all the venues of the Nigerian Immigration Aptitude Tests, held across Nigeria on Saturday 15th, 2014. The report highlights the passionate expressions of the Executive Director of CASER, Frank Tietie, who called for international sanctions against Nigerian public servants for violation of citizens’ human rights in Nigeria. CASER also, at the protest meeting, demanded the immediate sack and prosecution of the Minister of the Interior and the Comptroller General of the Immigration Service. The management of the National Human Rights Commission , led by its Executive Secretary, Prof. Bem Amgwe was quite responsive to the protest made by CASER.
